thursday. bunco with debbie (www.miller-crew.blogspot.com). my friend and fellow kindergarten teacher, debbie, has invited me to play bunco with her the past couple months. it is a lot of fun. any game that rewards you for losing (yes, i won with the most losses of the night) and is so easy that all you do is roll a dice is my type of game. plus you get to talk while you roll. perfect.
friday. dinner at guero's (http://www.guerostacobar.com/), one of my favs, with one of my student's families. adam and i had a great time chatting with the family of four and were so glad to get to eat with them! then, we headed over to the annual "kinder bat night" under the congress bridge. every year, the kindergarten teachers, students and students' families meet downtown to watch the bats come out from under the bridge. it was a hit. everyone was there, including infamous leslie. yes, austin's famed leslie showed up in the very area that we were at.
saturday. brunch at z' tejas (www.ztejas.com) downtown with anna. after tasty eggs benedict, we got our nails done. sounds like a successful saturday to me!
now, i am just waiting for adam to get home as he went to houston for the night. distance definitely makes the heart grow fonder! can't wait til he comes home tomorrow.
