last weekend, adam and i headed downtown for the lighting of the capitol Christmas tree. wow, it was a wonderful treat! even better, it was a free treat! you can't beat that.

before the tree was lit, there was a Christmas carol sing-along. there was a band who led the sing-along and they really good. all of my favorite carols were sung!
it was a "merry" feeling getting together with thousands of fellow austinites and singing Christmas songs in front of the capitol.
after the tree was lit, congress avenue opened up to artists and performers. this is a cool-looking car we saw along our stroll down congress.y
there were some very interesting performers!
and, of course, austin provided an artistic outlet for the stroll. chalk anyone?
